EDGE Performance Hockey is a youth hockey development organization based in Carleton Place, Ontario, serving families across the Ottawa Valley. Our programs focus on power skating, edge work, and progressive skill development for players born 2011 through 2020 (U7 to U15), with sessions running year-round at arenas across the Ottawa Valley.

Whether your player is lacing up for the first time or preparing for competitive spring hockey, our expert coaching staff and station-based training model deliver the individualized instruction that builds real, lasting improvement on the ice. We proudly serve players from Carleton Place, Almonte, Arnprior, Perth, Smiths Falls, Kanata, Stittsville, and communities throughout the Ottawa Valley.

NEW — Drop-In Pickup Hockey, $15 Per Session

Fun, fast, and no commitment beyond the night you show up. We’re running drop-in pickup hockey through August — 3-on-3 and 4-on-4 play with constant puck touches, no systems, and no standing around. Each session is registered for individually at $15 a skate, so come to one or come to all. Open to players born 2011–2013. Remaining dates at Carleton Place Arena 2: Thursday August 6 (6:00 – 8:00 PM), Friday August 7 (5:30 – 6:30 PM), Monday August 10 (8:30 – 9:30 PM), Wednesday August 12 (7:30 – 8:30 PM), and Thursday August 13 (7:30 – 8:30 PM). NEW — Offensive & Defensive Awareness Clinic

New for this summer: a four-session clinic built around the part of the game that never shows up on the scoresheet — reading the play before it happens. Players work through offensive support and attacking-zone reads, defensive positioning and gap control, angling and puck retrievals, and decision-making under pressure in small-area games. Open to U11 through U15 (born 2012–2017). Four evening sessions from August 11 to August 31 at Carleton Place Arenas 1 & 2, 8 hours of ice, $240. Summer Player Development — Skills & Games for U7 through U15

Our Summer 2026 program runs August 3 to September 3 at Carleton Place Arenas 1 & 2. Each age group gets a weekly skills session focused on skating, edge work, and age-appropriate skill building, plus a weekly fun game to put it all into action. U7 and U9 skate weekends. U11, U13, and U15 get a weeknight skills session plus a Saturday game. All players receive an official EDGE Performance jersey. U7/U9: $270. U11/U13/U15: $450. Register now — spots are limited.
