Frequently Asked Questions

What ages do your programs serve?

Our programs serve youth hockey players ages 5 through 15, organized by HEO age divisions (U7, U9, U11, U13, U15). Each group receives age-appropriate instruction tailored to their development stage.

Where are sessions held?

Sessions are held at various arenas throughout the Ottawa Valley, including Carleton Place, Almonte, Arnprior, Perth, Smiths Falls, and surrounding communities. Locations vary by program and season.

Does my child need hockey experience to join?

No prior hockey experience is required. Our youngest programs (U7) focus on building skating confidence and fundamentals from the ground up. More advanced groups build on existing skills with progressive training.

What is station-based training?

Station-based training divides the ice into focused skill stations where small groups rotate through drills. This maximizes ice time, ensures individualized coaching feedback, and keeps players engaged throughout the session.

When do programs run?

We offer programs year-round including spring sessions, summer hockey camps, March Break clinics, and winter break training. Check our season tabs above for current dates and availability.
